2020 Fleet43 Officers:

2020 Schedule – Molly

  • 6/6: Fleet Launch with Etchells

  • 6/10-6/24: Spring Series

  • 7/1 to 9/9: Summer Series (9/9 race will count in the series)

  • 9/7: Double-handed Regatta

  • 11/4: Fleet Banquet & Fleet Meeting

District 1 Updates - Finn Hadlock, President

  • Skippers and crew should join the class. J/24 U.S. Class Membership

  • NE Regionals in NJ July 11-12, 2020

  • District 1 champs will be Marblehead NOOD Jul 23-26, 2020

  • NA in Sayville is tentative on August 13-16, 2020 and Nationals in VT on September 25-27, 2020.

Formalizing Fleet43 – Katie

  • Looking for a legal resource for this.

  • Half and half of J/24 fleets but we are one of the largest in the US and are more involved than most.

Series Notice of Race (NOR) – Nate

  • A draft has been posted on site. 

2020 Budget – Katie

  • See details from Katie’s budget.

Fleet Gift to PYC and SailMaine - Sarah

  • SailMaine Gift - Want to be a role model for fellow sailors and community. Fleet43 plans to give $200 to SailMaine in 2020.

  • PYC Gift- $500 this year as a thank you.

    • Tony-recommends a gift to PYC (instead of check)…..Dinghy needs repair. Maybe money to go to something like that.

    • Bad Apple has done a lot of volunteer work for the club.

    • Shelly will help remind the fleet of volunteer opportunities. Tony will let us know what the club needs.

Downeast Regatta plans – Sarah

  • Sept 12th and 13th.

  • Asking for a person from each boat to have members involved in the DE committee.

  • Steph volunteers to get beer donated and manage lobster bake through Gritty’s (like past years)

  • We are going to need to go back to our roots and have all the boats involved.  It might be a minimal year.
